1100 Gur-Emir Mausoleum (XIV-XV centuries) - one of the best architectural monuments of Central Asia, the family tomb of Tamerlane and the Timurid dynasty on the male line. The elegance, clarity of proportions, beauty of internal decoration put this mausoleum in one row with the masterpieces of world architecture.

1200 Registan Square (XV-XVII cc.) - the main bazaar square under Timur and Ulugbek began to be built up. The madrasah named after Ulugbek survived from the XV century buildings. 200 years separates it from two other madrassahs - Sher-Dor and Tillya-Kari (XVII century), but thanks to the skill of architects, they, very harmoniously combined, are a remarkable single architectural ensemble. 1300 Bibi-Khanim Mosque (XV c.), built by order of Amir Temur in 1404, became the main Friday Mosque of Samarkand and the largest in the East. By the XVIII century the mosque was already in ruins. In 2004, the grandiose structure was restored.

1320 Time for Lunch at local restaurant (Own Account). 1420 Shahi-Zinda ensemble (XII-XV centuries), which began to form in the middle of the XI century, the construction of the complex was completed in the early XIX century. 25 constructions of the ensemble - mausoleums, mosques, madrasahs - give an idea not only about the development of architectural forms, but also about the evolution of facing ceramics. That is why many researchers call the ensemble a "creative laboratory". And one of the contemporaries wrote: "...and the heavens opened their eyes of admiration to the face of the epoch: they had never seen buildings so decorated and ornate".

1520 St. Daniel Tomb 1600 Ulugbek's Observatory (XV c.): in the 20s of the XV c. the ruler of Samarkand, grandson of Temur, Mirzo Ulugbek built the largest observatory in the East. Astronomical observations were carried out there, the results of which were summarized in the catalog "Zij Guragani". Only the underground part of the main astronomical instrument of the observatory, the sextant, and the remains of the foundations of the building have survived to this day. The exposition of the Ulugbek Memorial Museum familiarizes with the development of culture of the Timurid era.
