● PIA operated a relief flight from Lahore to Melbourne, Australia, for the first time in its history, during the COVID-19 epidemic.
● SpeedEx, PIA’s courier business, was shut down in November 2020, with its infrastructure dispersed among 74 domestic destinations and 320 people thrown off.
● PIA announced in December 2020 that it would lay off half of its workforce and transfer its engineering division, Precision Engineering Complex (PEC), to the Pakistan Air Force.
