Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) is a Pakistani international airline that acts as the country's official flag carrier. It is administered by the Secretary to the Government of Pakistan for Aviation. Jinnah International Airport in Karachi serves as the primary airport, with Allama Iqbal International Airport in Lahore and Islamabad International Airport serving as minor hubs.

The Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) is the country's largest airline, with a fleet of more than 30 planes. The airline flies to 18 domestic destinations and 25 overseas destinations in Asia, Europe, the Middle East, and North America on a daily basis. PIA with its Interline agreements and codeshare partner airlines, offers a wider choice of travel in 102 international destinations in 40 countries across the world with different flight connections.

PIA has 6 Airbus A320-200, 2 ATR 42, 1 ATR 72, 7 Boeing 777-200 and 1 Boeing 777-300 in its fleet of 30 planes.


  1. PIA operated a relief flight from Lahore to Melbourne, Australia, for the first time in its history, during the COVID-19 epidemic.
  2. SpeedEx, PIA's courier business, was shut down in November 2020, with its infrastructure dispersed among 74 domestic destinations and 320 people thrown off.
  3. PIA announced in December 2020 that it would lay off half of its workforce and transfer its engineering division, Precision Engineering Complex (PEC), to the Pakistan Air Force.

Check-in Information

You can either check-in when you reach the airport or can use Web check-in which is an online process by which passenger(s) can Check-In through PIA website prior to arrival at the airport and save their valuable time.
