Day 1

| Vientiane

On arrival into Vientiane Wattay airport, you will meet and transfer to the hotel, check into the hotel free at your leisure. 

Day 2

| Vientiane

AM: 08:00 explore the capital Vientiane visit the major sights of the capital; including the oldest Wats; Wat Ongtue, Wat Simuang and Wat Sisaket with thousands of miniature Buddha statues. Visit the former royal temple of Wat Prakeo, which previously housed the famous Emerald Buddha Image. Stop by and the morning market which has an array of products and souvenirs.
 
PM: visit the national symbol of Lao; the scared That Luang Stupa, you will also have the opportunity to take some pictures of the Patuxay Monument, which is well known as Vientiane’s own Arc de Triumph. We then continue trip to Buddha Park also known as Xieng Khuan. This art sculpture park located about 27km southeast from Vientiane and a great and intriguing place that children would very much like. Located in a meadow by the Mekong River the cement statues are both ornate and sometimes bizarre although admired for the artwork. After Buddha Park return back to town. On the way back there may be the possibility to stop at the Beer Lao factory. Return to the hotel around 16:00.

Day 3

| Vang Vieng

After breakfast, we leave this wonderful town for Vang Vieng by Laos-China high speed train EMU C82 @13:30/ 14:23 We will see some breathtaking scenery enroute as we pass through spectacular countryside towards the mountainous region. Vang Vieng is the small and tranquil village of Vang Vieng, which is nestled on a bend of the Nam Song River. Its stunning scenery with a mixture of quiet water and limestone outcrops remains unspoiled, despite recent developments with the advent of tourism. On arrival at Vang Vieng, We will embark on a boat for a well-paced trip along the Nam Song River, exploring the breathtaking mountain landscape.  Overnight in Vang Vieng 

Day 4

| Vang Vieng

After breakfast at your hotel, we start our board on a local tractor through paddy field areas heading to Tham Phoukham caves, where your breath will be taken away seeing the most beautiful and famous limestone cavern, surrounded by natural forests. Along the way, you have chance to explore the local cultures by greeting the local villagers and learning about their daily lifestyle. There is a small natural pool in front of the caves where you can take a swim to refresh yourself from the hot climate or you could explore the nearby area.   Your picnic lunch serves at local restaurant 
 
After spending the day at the caves and its surrounding areas, we make our return to the Vang Vieng town, En route, we visit the ethnic minority villages of Hmong, Souay and Taidam villages meeting the warm and friendly hill tribe people and observing their traditional tribal costumes. Then, back to your hotel for your relaxation.  Overnight in Vang Vieng  

Day 5

| Luang Prabang

Transfer to the train station to Luang Prabang by Laos-China high speed train EMU C92 @10:45/ 11:47. Arrival, and transfer to the hotel.
Luang Prabang is perhaps the best-preserved traditional city in Southeast Asia. The tranquility and charm of this UNESCO world heritage town with its splendid natural scenery and cultural sights makes it one of the most delightful places to visit in Laos. 
 
On arrival at the train station are welcomed and transferred to the hotel, after check into the hotel we continue time permitting to climb the 328 steps to the top of Mount Phousi to take in the beautiful sunset over this town and the Mekong River
 
In the evening explore the Street Night Bazaar, where you can find the lovely collection and handmade textiles by local and hill tribe people surrounding Luang Prabang. For late arrivals this can be done on the following day.

Day 6

| Luang Prabang

08:30 Today’s tour through the historical and UNESCO world heritage city of Luang Prabang will give you insight into the culture and rich history of the magical city. Luang Prabang has a fascinating history with a delightful mix of Buddhist temples and French Colonial buildings. 
 
Our first stop is Wat Visoun: a replica of an older Temple, which was erected in the same place back in 1513. Wat Visoun houses numerous religious art treasures. Next we head to Wat Xieng Thong a royal Wat built on the banks of the Mekong River in 1559. Wat Xieng Thong has remained relatively undamaged by the various mainly Chinese invasions over the centuries. The temple is decorated extensively with impressive carving, murals and mosaics. 
 
Visit the Laotian Royal Palace officially known as Haw Kham. The palace was built during the French colonial era for the King and his family. The site was chosen so that official visitors to Luang Prabang could disembark from their river voyages directly at the palace and be received there. In 1975, the monarchy was overthrown and the Palace was converted into a National museum. Today it houses many artefacts, which showcase the richness of Laotian culture. Then continue to enjoy the atmosphere at Wat Mai, built in 1796 and sits at the foot of Mount Phousi.
 
Drive to Khuang Si Waterfall and the Bear Rescue Centre, about 30mins from Luang Prabang. The waterfall is set in a natural jungle setting and you will have plenty of time to relax or swim in its turquoise cool pools. Return to Luang Prabang free at your leisure.

After breakfast free at your leisure until time for transfer to Luang Prabang airport for your award flight.
