Welcome to Melbourne. Compact and diverse, Melbourne is a perfect playground for adventurers and wildlife lovers, foodies and road trippers. Discover remote beaches and rugged coastlines, alpine outlooks and lush forests, all within easy reach of Melbourne, Australia's culinary capital. On arrival we will transfer you to your hotel. Free time at Leisure.

Day 2

| Melbourne

Enjoy breakfast at hotel. Proceed (on own) or by using free tram rides (within the city centre) to melbourne cricket ground for a guided tour. Experience an unforgettable mcg tour with access all areas including player change rooms, the ron casey media centre, member only areas of the melbourne cricket club such as the long room and a walk on the hallowed arena. Walk in the steps of great sporting legends. Following your mcg tour, visit the australian sports museum. The australian sports museum isn’t your typical museum. It’s an exciting, interactive and ever-changing experience where the latest technology has been used to create immersive exhibits and galleries; including cricket, australian football, the olympics, sport australia hall of fame, victorian racing gallery and the reimagined game on! Interactive space. Collect your wristband and interact with the exhibits as you learn about australian culture through sport. Later in the afternoon we proceed to philip island. The tour starts with a drive south-east from melbourne to reach moonlit sanctuary wildlife conservation park where you will meet endangered species, kangaroos, wallabies and koalas plus an array of colourful birds and reptiles. Your journey then leads onto phillip island, the home of the australian motorcycle grand prix and the famous little penguins. Upon arrival on the island, depending on the time of year and your interests, you will visit woolamai beach to see surfers riding the waves. During the daylight savings months, you will travel to the town of cowes where you will have free time for dinner. In the winter months you can have something to eat at the penguin parade visitor centre. Finally, a trip to phillip island is not complete without its black-tie gala event: the penguin parade. Head to the visitor centre to shop, have a coffee and meander along the boardwalk to the viewing platform where you will see the little penguins come ashore, decked out in their tuxedos as they hurry off to find their burrows.

Day 3

| Melbourne

Experience this majestic coastal drive-in style with your small group and enjoy time to relax and fully appreciate the wonders of this world-famous touring route. Stay on the lookout for some very special animals including whales, dolphins, echidnas and bandicoots. Your camera will get a good workout along this exciting journey where we will stop for plenty of photo opportunities. To begin, your expert oceania guide will collect you from your melbourne hotel to commence your exciting road trip. Your next stop will be at apollo bay, a tranquil seaside town which is most noteworthy for its setting among the soft rolling hills. It offers a great selection of cafes and restaurants where you can enjoy some lunch (not included). Following this, we will enjoy a walk in the forest in the otway ranges. A truly unique day out, capped off by a visit to the ancient rock formations of the twelve apostles and loch ard gorge.

Day 4

| Gold Coast

Enjoy breakfast at your hotel & then proceed to melbourne airport for your flight to brisbane/gold coast (on own). On arrival in brisbane/gold coast airport, we will transfer you your hotel in gold coast using roopass®. “gold coast” is famed for its long sandy beaches, surfing spots and elaborate system of inland canals and waterways. Later in the evening we proceed for our tour. Experience an exciting night time tour with stargazing, delicious dessert at a local restaurant and a fully guided rainforest walk to the waterfall. This is a great tour for you to discover the bio-network of a rainforest and to experience nocturnal wildlife spotting. Following your pickup, we will journey to the peaceful and picturesque gold coast hinterland. A local mountain top cafe awaits us to serve tea, coffee or hot chocolate accompanied by a selection of delicious cakes. At the end of the trail emerges curtis falls, a subtropical waterfall and habitat to the stars of the show, the ever fascinating, glow worms.
