After breakfast, we head to Colombo. Colombo, the bustling capital of Sri Lanka, is a vibrant city that offers a mix of colonial architecture, modern high-rises, bustling markets, and serene parks. Whether you’re interested in exploring the city’s rich history, indulging in local cuisine, or shopping for unique souvenirs, Colombo has something for everyone. On arrival we will visit the Colombo Lotus Tower, one of the most iconic landmarks in Sri Lanka. The tower features an observation deck that offers panoramic views of Colombo and the surrounding areas. On clear days, you can see as far as the Indian Ocean and the city’s sprawling skyline.
After enjoy breakfast at hotel, we drive through the city taking you to the busy commercial areas as well as the tree-lined residential, Cinnamon Gardens. Visit Fort, the former British administrative center and military garrison, Sea Street - the Goldsmith’s quarters in the heart of Pettah, the Bazaar area, where is also a Hindu Temple with elaborate stone carvings, and the Dutch Church of Wolfendhal dating back to 1749. Also visit the BMICH, see the replica of Avukana Buddha & the Independence Square. We will also visit ODEL which provides our guests ample opportunity to indulge not only in shopping for designer wear apparel for the whole family, but also take taste buds on a voyage of discovery. Our city tour will be incomplete without visiting Gangaramaya Temple, also known as Gangaramaya Vihara, is one of the most important and visited Buddhist temples in Colombo, Sri Lanka. Its serene atmosphere, beautiful architecture, and historical significance make it a must-visit destination for anyone traveling to Colombo.
