    Yes. Indians Visitors to Samoa can apply for a 90-day Visitor Permit on arrival. A visitor’s permit is issued on arrival for the purposes of holiday, business, visiting friends or family. Work is not permitted on a Visitor Permit.

  • add What is the eligibility criterion for Samoa visa on arrival?

    Before travelling to Samoa please ensure you meet the requirements listed below:

    • Have a return onward ticket
    • Possess a passport valid for a minimum of six (6) months after the intended date of departure from Samoa
    • Have a valid visa or permit for entry into the country to which they will travel from Samoa
    • State accommodation arrangements
    • Have documented evidence of sufficient funds for self-support
    • Have no record or deportation from other countries

    Indians will be issued a Visitor’s Permit valid for a stay of up to 90 days. Visitors wishing to extend stay beyond the sixty (90) days covered under the Visitor's Permit must apply for an extension of their permit. All applications must be lodged at the Immigration Office in Apia before the Visitor Permit expires.

  • add How can I extend the Visitor’s Permit in Samoa?

    Visitors who are in Samoa and wish to apply for a further period of stay as a visitor should use the temporary residence form. To apply for this extension, you must:

    • Complete the application form for temporary residence (MPMC100)
    • Attach a photocopy of onward ticket out of Samoa
    • Provide evidence of sufficient funds to support your extended stay
    • Provide details of accommodation arrangements

    A Business Visitor Permit is for persons normally employed and paid offshore who are visiting Samoa for a short visit, to visit a branch of their company, to conduct business negotiations with a Samoan company or to attend a business conference.For other business activity in Samoa, a Temporary Resident Permit is required.

    Yes. The permit is valid for the whole of Samoa.

    No. There is no facility to apply for a Samoa Visitor Permit in advance. Applicants must obtain the permit on arrival itself.

    Indians are not liable to face a rejection. However, the above said documents are necessary to enter the country. Failure to produce any of the documents may result into rejection of the Visitor permit, thereby barring you from entering the country. The final decision to grant an entry permit is solely at the discretion of the Immigration officials at Samoa airport.

Samoa is officially the Independent state of Samoa is known as “Western Samoa”. This ocean country is the blend of two main islands “Savaii” and “Upolu” and other four small islands.   • Samoan culture maintains its historical customs, language, social and political systems. Christianity was introduced and many of the Samoans were converted themselves into Christianity. Some of the Samoans live in a communal way participating together in all different activities. The traditional dance of Samoa is “Sasa”. Dancers will stand in rows to form different formations synchronizing movements in time with each other to the rhythm of wooden drums or rolled mats in this dance.
