Indonesia Visa FAQs

  • add Do Indian citizens require a Visa to travel to Indonesia?

No, Indian citizens do not require a visa to enter Indonesia for a short stay i.e. whether you are travelling to Indonesia for tourism, visiting someone or attending conference or meeting. You must make only sure that you don’t engage in any form of paid activities like employment or work.

  • add What is the procedure after arriving in Indonesia?

At the immigration counter in Indonesia, your passport will be affixed with an entry stamp denoting a visa exemption. Similarly on your departure from Indonesia, the Immigration officials will put an exit stamp. There won’t be any visa stamped on your passport nor will there be any charges applicable. Make sure to carry all your travel documents.

  • add How long can I stay in Indonesia without a visa?

You can stay in Indonesiafor up to 30 days without requiring a visa. You cannot extend your stay beyond 30 days. You will have to leave Indonesia within 30 days.

  • add Can I also get Visa on arrival?

Yes. If you intend to stay longer than 30 days, you must opt for a Visa on arrival. A Visa on Arrival is something Indians do not need to apply for abroad but simply purchase in the arrival and immigration hall after you have landed in Indonesia. With this visa, you can stay for more than 30 days but only up to 60 days from the date of arrival. This visa is valid for 30 days and can be extended once for another 30 days. The visa fee on arrival is US$35.
However, we recommend you to take advantage of the Visa exemption if your stay is less than 30 days. Why would you have to get a Visa on Arrival and pay 35USD for a Visa free facility that also allows you only to stay 30 days?

  • add What are entry requirements for visitors entering Indonesia?

The immigration officials at the Airport may check the below documents:

    • Passport valid for a least 6 months from your date of entry
    • Dully filled Immigration Card
    • Return ticket to your country
    • Accommodation proof
    • Sufficient funds to cover your stay in Indonesia
    • Detailed itinerary of your trip
    • Documents relating to your business visa

  • add Do I need to purchase a Travel Insurance?

Applicants are strongly advised to purchase a Travel Insurance to secure their trip in the occurrence of unexpected events such as medical emergencies, flight cancellations, baggage delay or loss etc..
