When arriving by air – in most cases – you have to pay a security fee (Airport Security Fee – TSA). Registration and the security surcharge can be paid via an online platform (preference). This can be also arranged at the border (customs). It is essential to do the registration at least 7 days before your travel date.
    Once you have registered, your passport will be stamped when you arrive at passport control in Cape Verde. This stamp is your entry visa. There's no need for you to approach the Visa office at the airport - simply proceed through to baggage reclaim.

    Yes. You can extend your stay in Cape Verde. The easiest way is to prolong your visa before it expires. You can have your visa extended at the office of “Direcção de Emigração e Fronteiras” in Sal, Boavista, Praia (Santiago), Mindelo (Sao Vicente) or at a police station. For the renewal of your visa you need: a valid passport with current visa, passport photo and usually also proof of where you are staying. If you are staying for a long time in Cape Verde for example for work, a rental or purchase contract is also needed.

    Indians are not liable to face a rejection. However, the above said documents are necessary to enter the country. Failure to produce any of the documents may result into rejection of your visa, thereby barring you from entering the country.
