- Great Blue Hole is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and goes down 410 feet. Created around 10,000 years ago after a cave roof crumbled in, this blue channel has marine life lining the coral wall at the surface of the hole. Visitors recommended snorkelling around the hole and the nearby reefs.
- Cayo District contains a cluster of ancient Mayan sites, rolling hills, stunning sunsets, butterfly gardens, and lush jungles. San Ignacio is a small town located in the heart of the Cayo District. Start at the ancient Mayan ruin Xunantunich which was once a civic-ceremonial centre for the Mayan people.
- Cockscomb Basin Wildlife Sanctuary is a sprawling reserve to protect Belize's endangered species. It houses jaguars, pumas, peccaries, king vultures, armadillos, otters, along with many native birds. The sanctuary has miles of nature trails to explore the 150-square-mile sanctuary.
- Lamanai is a sprawling 960-acre Mayan site where you will see artefacts depicting crocodiles along with real crocodiles and iguanas catching the sunlight. The site has been inhabited from 1500 B.C. to 1700 A.D. It features three Mayan pyramids, the remains of a 16th-century Spanish Church and several plazas and temples.
