  Indian nationals wishing to travel to The Bahamas for vacation and/or for business are required to obtain a visa beforetravelling to The Bahamas regardless of whether they are travelling by air, cruise ship, or private yacht. The visa must be applied at the British High Commission in New Delhi, India. Indian Nationals who hold Canadian, UK, US and Schengen Visas will not require visas to enter The Bahamas.

  The British High Commission issues a Single and Multiple entry visa for Indians. The Single entry is issued for a period of 3 months only, whereas a multiple entry visa is issued for 3 months, 6 months, 1 year and 3 years.

  One must carefully note what kind of entry is permitted. If the visa reads a single entry, its holder can only enter and leave Bahamas once whereas, with multiple entries, he/she can enter or leave the country multiple times.

  Since the High Commission issues single & multiple type visas, the cost for each entry type differs as follows:
  Single entry for 3 months – INR 9,999/-
  Multiple entry up to 1 year - INR 11,599/-
  Multiple entry for 90 days – INR 46,899/-

  A Bahamas visa is not required if the following conditions are met:

  • Nationals of India with a visa issued by Canada, United Kingdom, USA or Schengen Member State for a maximum stay of 90 days.
  • Nationals of India with a Permanent Residence Permit issued by United Kingdom or Schengen Member State for a maximum stay of 90 days.
  • Nationals of India with a Permanent Resident/Resident Alien Card (Form I-551) issued by the USA for a maximum stay of 30 days.
  • Nationals of India with a Permanent Resident Card issued by Canada for a maximum stay of 30 days.
