Instructions for new Dubai visa in Sri Lanka

Dubai, which is the largest and most popular city in the United Arab Emirates (UAE), is located on the southeast coast of the Persian Gulf. There is no denying the fact that Dubai has created a name for itself due to the booming economy, extravagant lifestyle and is considered a major business hub for the Middle East.

Here, we take a look at the Dubai Visa process that needs to be followed by Sri Lankans if they are intended to visit the city.

Steps to follow for an easy Dubai Visa

STEP 1

  • The most pivotal part is to understand the different types of UAE visas and to recognize which visa type suits your traveling needs. If your duration to stay is within 30 days then a standard 30 days visa will be provided, if it's more than 30 days then one should apply for 90 days Dubai visa which will be beneficial.
  • If you know you will be traveling to Dubai many times then a multiple entry visa will be an ideal option. If there is an urgent need to travel to Dubai then an express visa should be arranged.
  • Standard Dubai visa usually takes 2 - 3 working days to get processed whereas an express visa is processed within 8 - 24 hours.

STEP 2

Important Documents that a Sri Lankan citizen needs to apply for a Dubai Visa.

A filled visa application form is to be submitted with the documents.

  • Recent photograph (colored)
  • A copy of the confirmed return flight ticket
  • A scanned soft copy of passport (with minimum 6 months validity) front and back pages
  • A guarantor's Sri Lanka national identity card, phone and address proof, or a UAE residence visa page of a friend or family member working in UAE or the Middle East.

STEP 3

  • One should choose a trustworthy travel company where they feel secure and has years of experience in issuing Dubai Visas. Review their past performance and what customers have to say. If you choose Arabier's then continue with the steps.

STEP 4

  • Attach the scanned copies of the necessary documents. After making the payment you will receive a confirmation email.

STEP 5

  • The Visa processing team will verify and check the visa application and documents after which they will be sent to Dubai Immigration. Sometimes it takes time as Dubai might request additional documents which will have to be submitted.

STEP 6

  • Depending on the type of visa, one will get a copy of the Dubai Visa on Email Id or WhatsApp.

STEP 7

  • Confirmation is required from Arabiers or any other Visa provider that has issued 'OK to board' a minimum of 48hours before you are flying to Dubai.

STEP 8

  • Passport should be carried along with a copy of the ticket and other documents on the day of departure. It is important to reach the Airport counter 3 hours prior.
