Day 1

| Delhi

Meet at Indira Gandhi International Airport and transfer to your hotel. The remainder of the day is at leisure to rest after the flight. Distance approx. 20 km · Driving time approx. 45 min · Meals: none included · Overnight Delhi

Day 2

| Delhi

A full day across the two Delhis. Old Delhi first — the Red Fort, Jama Masjid, and a cycle-rickshaw ride through the packed lanes of Chandni Chowk, past spice merchants, silver dealers and sweet shops. Then New Delhi: Humayun’s Tomb, the prototype for the Taj; the twelfth-century Qutab Minar; and a drive past India Gate and the Rashtrapati Bhavan along Rajpath. Distance approx. 50 km across the day
· Meals: breakfast included · Overnight Delhi

Day 3

| Agra

Depart for Agra on the Yamuna Expressway. On arrival, visit Agra Fort, the red sandstone stronghold from which Shah Jahan spent his last years looking out at the tomb he had built for his wife. In the late afternoon, visit the Taj Mahal itself, when the marble takes the warm light and the crowds thin. Distance approx. 230 km · Driving time approx. 3 hrs 30 min · Meals: breakfast included · Overnight Agra

Day 4

| Jaipur

Drive west to Jaipur, stopping at Fatehpur Sikri — Akbar’s capital, built in red sandstone and abandoned within fifteen years, and now among the best-preserved Mughal cities anywhere. Continue to Jaipur, arriving in the evening. Distance approx. 240 km · Driving time approx. 5 hrs including the stop · Meals: breakfast included · Overnight Jaipur

Day 5

| Jaipur

Begin at the Amber Fort above Maota Lake, ascending the ramp by elephant as the Rajput court once did, then exploring the mirrored Sheesh Mahal and the courtyards above. Stop at the Jal Mahal, sitting in the middle of the lake, on the way back into the city. Afternoon at the City Palace and Jantar Mantar, the eighteenth-century observatory whose stone instruments still keep accurate time, ending with a photo stop at the Hawa Mahal. Distance approx. 40 km across the day · Meals: breakfast included · Overnight Jaipur

Day 6

| Delhi

Return to Delhi by road after breakfast and transfer to the airport for your departure flight. Distance approx. 270 km · Driving time approx. 5 hrs · Meals: breakfast included · Departure
