Best time to visit Abu Dhabi

Abu Dhabi is known for its endless sunshine and balmy weather. Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque: The largest mosque in the country and the sixth largest in the world, this opulent structure is the most visited among all of Abu Dhabi’s attractions. Covering an area of more than 30 acres, the mosque is inspired by Mughal, Persian and Alexandrian architecture with mother of pearl inlays, expansive fountains and the third largest chandelier is the world.

The Corniche: Corniche Road or The Corniche, as it is popularly known, is a seaside promenade on Abu Dhabi’s western shore that stretches over eight kilometers. The waterfront is lined with public parks, beaches and public spaces that offer spectacular views of the Abu Dhabi skyline, often featured in Bollywood blockbusters based in UAE.

Saadiyat Island: Called the island of happiness in Arabic, Saadiyat Island is home to the city’s biggest cultural district with scores of museums and galleries. The Louvre Abu Dhabi, Guggenheim Abu Dhabi and Zayed National Museum are some of the biggest draws in the UAE with the Louvre housing the Most Expensive Painting Ever Sold, Leonardo da Vinci’s Salvator Mundi. You could also visit the Maritime Museum and the Abu Dhabi Performing Arts Academy.

Yas Island: Abu Dhabi’s newest attraction, Yas Island is a leisure, entertainment and shopping centre off the coast of the city. The island is also home to Ferrari World, an amusement park developed by the car manufacturer Ferrari, Yas Marina Circuit which hosts the Abu Dhabi Formula One Grand Prix, Yas Beach and several concert arenas.

Desert Safari:  No visit to the Arabian Desert would be complete without a desert safari. Jump into a 4X4 and ride across the desert up to the highest dunes. You could try sand boarding, dune surfing or quad biking in the Dubai desert and spend the evening watching a traditional belly dancing performance and an Emirati barbeque meal at a Bedouin campsite in the desert.

Ferrari World: The world’s only Ferrari themed amusement park, Ferrari World is Yas Island’s and perhaps Abu Dhabi’s biggest attraction. The park is also home to Formula Rossa, the fastest roller coaster in the world as well as scores of thrill rides, shows and dining areas.
