Met at Cochin International Airport and transferred to your hotel. In the afternoon, a guided walk through Fort Kochi: St Francis Church, where Vasco da Gama was first buried; the Dutch Palace with its Ramayana murals; the Paradesi Synagogue and the antique lanes of Jew Town; and the cantilevered Chinese fishing nets on the shoreline at sunset. Day 2

| Munnar

Depart after breakfast for Athirappilly. The Chalakudy River falls eighty feet in a single curtain here, and a short forest path leads to the base viewpoint. Vazhachal, a few kilometres upstream, is a broader cascade at the edge of the same rainforest. Continue eastwards and climb into the Western Ghats to Munnar, arriving in the late afternoon. Day 3

| Munnar

An early start for Eravikulam National Park, reached by Forest Department bus from the Rajamalai gate, where the endangered Nilgiri Tahr grazes the high shola grassland at close quarters. Continue to Mattupetty Dam and lake, and take a guided walk into a working tea estate to see how the leaf is plucked and processed. Viewpoints at Echo Point and the Tea Museum as time allows.
