Tanah Lot

No trip to Bali will be complete without a visit to Tanah Lot. Located in Tabanan, a short drive from the Balinese capital Denpasar, the temple sits on a large rock on the ocean. The temple was built in the 16th century and is dedicated to Dewa Baruna or Bhatara Segara, the god of the sea. Kuta

Bali Safari and Marine Park

Tanjung Benoa

A Bali travel guide favourite, Tanjung Benoa is the water sports mecca of Bali. The beach is perfect for jet-skiing, glass bottom boat tours, island hopping, diving, fly fishing, and sea walking. The most family friendly beach on the island, Tanjung Benoa is also a great place to scuba dive, parasail, ride a banana boat and sea walk. And if you’d like a break from the fun on the beach grab a scooter and head to the Caow Eng Bio Chinese Temple. One of the oldest Chinese temples of the island, Caow Eng Bio is hard to miss with its distinctive red tiled roof and elaborate carvings.

Kintamani Volcano

A popular activity recommended by most Bali travel guides is a trek in Kintamani. Hike up the mountain at dawn to see the most magical sunrise you have ever seen. A short walk from the mountain leaves you at Lake Batur. A picturesque expanse of blue green water, the crater-lake draws tourists and locals alike. We also recommend visiting the hot springs by the lake that is said to have medicinal, curative properties. You could also visit the isolated Balinese village of Trunyan that is known for its peculiar open air cemetery.

Bali Swing
