Day 1

| Auckland

Welcome to Auckland!! Auckland is New Zealand's largest city and main transport hub. The region is home to some 1.5 million people and is also the largest Polynesian city in the world. Auckland’s diverse landscapes provide countless opportunities to get immersed in nature. More than just a city, Auckland is a whole region full of things to see and do. Best of all, with so many experiences close by it’s easy to hop from one adventure to the next. On arrival in Auckland, you will be met & privately transferred to Hotel.

Day 2

| Rotorua

Farewell the ‘City of Sails’ as you travel south through the fertile Waikato region to arrive at Waitomo to explore the Waitomo Glowworm Caves. Known as one of New Zealand’s best natural attractions, take a boat ride through the glow worm grotto, marvel at thousands of magical glowworms and become part of over 130 years of cultural and natural history. Discover an ancient world 30 million years in the making and marvel at Mother Nature’s light display as you glide silently through the starry wonderland of the Glowworm Grotto. Experience the serene ambience as you enter this galaxy of tiny living lights. The glowworm (Arachnocampa Luminosa) is unique to New Zealand, making the Waitomo Glowworm Caves an absolute must-do. See thousands of these tiny creatures as they radiate their unmistakable luminescent light in a subterranean world. Later we continue our journey over the forested Mamaku Ranges to reach the “Thermal City” of Rotorua.

Day 3

| Rotorua

Situated in Rotorua, Te Puia is an iconic destination for visitors. Our tradition of guiding in the Whakarewarewa geothermal valley extends for generations and many of our guides have direct links to Rotorua’s earliest hosts. We share stories and insight into this unique corner of the world. Along with access to the world famous Pohutu geyser, visitors have an opportunity to see Māori cultural performances, live kiwi, boiling mud pools, native bush and the National Schools of Wood Carving and Weaving. These are the threads that form the fabric of Te Puia, fitting its role as kaitiaki (guardian) of Māori culture for future generations. Later we Visit The Agrodome, In the heart of 350-acres of lush farmland, yet only 10 minutes from Rotorua city centre, you’ll find New Zealand’s Agrodome. For over 40 years, visitors from all over the globe have come to the Agrodome to see our world-famous Farm Show starring a cast of talented animals… and you! Rainbow Springs Nature Park is situated amongst flourishing native forest and natural springs, you’ll see and learn all about New Zealand’s wonderful wildlife, our ecological history and our cultural stories.

Day 4

| Napier

Free Time to explore Rotorua on your own. Depart for Napier this afternoon and travel south over rugged mountain ranges and well cultivated farmland to arrive in the ‘Art Deco’ city of Napier. Street after street of stunning and beautifully-restored Art Deco buildings have made Napier famous as one of the most complete collections of Art Deco buildings in the world. In 1931 a massive earthquake rocked Hawke's Bay for more than three minutes, killing nearly 260 and destroying the commercial centre of Napier. On Arrival in Napier, we transfer you to your Hotel in Napier. Check-In at Hotel & Relax.

Day 5

| Napier

Rebuilt from the ground up after a devastating 1931 earthquake, the city of Napier is now well-known for its colorful art deco buildings. On this intimate 2 Hours guided tour, get to know Napier better by exploring its art deco highlights and learning about its history. Don’t miss any of the city’s remarkable history while walking through the city center: just pop on your headphones to hear your guide crystal clear. Rest of the day is at Lesiure

Day 6

| Wellington

After breakfast, we depart for Wellington. Travel through the Manawatu Gorge and Takapau Plains to Palmerston North, famous for its agricultural university. Continue south to arrive in Wellington, New Zealand’s capital city. Wellington is compact, cultured and full of character. Nestled between the harbour and the hills, the downtown area is ideal for explorations on foot. Enjoy cafes, restaurants, museums and all kinds of shops. Dance, theatre and musical performances are a Wellington specialty. On arrival in Wellington, we Visit Te Papa Museum (on own). Te Papa is New Zealand's innovative and interactive national museum. Explore the great treasures and stories of this country – its unique natural environment, Maori culture, art heritage, and fascinating history.

Day 7

| Christchurch

See Wellington’s beautiful waterfront from some of the city’s most picturesque viewpoints, like the summit of Mount Victoria, where you can enjoy panoramic views of the city, its hills and harbour. Wellington has many fascinating examples of classic architecture – see the iconic Beehive, New Zealand’s main parliamentary building, and the Old Government Buildings, the largest wooden building in the Southern Hemisphere. Visit Old Saint Paul’s Cathedral, a fine example of Revival Gothic architecture. Take in the beauty of the Wellington Botanic Gardens including the Lady Norwood Rose Gardens and native bush, and drive around the rugged Wellington coastline discovering hidden bays and some of Wellington’s most popular beaches. As you travel around the Miramar Peninsula and southern bays, you’ll see the picturesque seaside suburb of Seatoun, as well as Pencarrow and the Baring Head Lighthouse, while enjoying unobstructed views of Wellington’s harbour entrance. On a clear day you can see all the way across Cook Strait to the Kaikoura Ranges in the South Island. In afternoon, transfer to Wellington Airport for flight to Christchurch. On arrival, transfer to your hotel in Christchurch and relax.

Day 8

| Dunedin

After breakfast, we depart for our next city “Dunedin”. Known as the Edinburgh of New Zealand, Dunedin is the country's city of the south, wearing its Scottish heritage with pride. Surrounded by dramatic hills and at the foot of a long, picturesque harbour, Dunedin is one of the best-preserved Victorian and Edwardian cities in the Southern Hemisphere. The accommodation is good and plentiful; the nightlife buzzes with funky bars and delicious restaurants and the natural attractions are unique and fascinating. On arrival, Check-In at Hotel in Dunedin & Relax or explore oldest city on your own.

Day 9

| Queenstown

After breakfast, we proceed for 2 Hour Dunedin City Highlights Tour. We have opportunity to enjoy fantastic views of the city from a local lookout point. We have a short stop at Otago University; enjoy panoramic views of Dunedin and the area from top of the Signal Hill & we take a brief stop at the Dunedin Railway Station. Departing Dunedin this afternoon, travel inland through the Central Otago towns of Lawrence and Clyde before arriving in Cromwell. Continue through the Kawarau Gorge to arrive in Queenstown in the early evening.

Day 10

| Queenstown

There’s no place like Queenstown and one of the best ways to experience it all is from the lake. Soak up the remarkable mountain views on a relaxing scenic cruise aboard Spirit of Queenstown Cruise. Discover Lake Wakatipu’s hidden gem – Mt Nicholas, before joining for an 1 hour of power on Lake Wakatipu and the world famous Shotover and Kawarau Rivers. On your Jet boat trip, you’ll get up to speeds of 95kph on the mighty Shotover and Kawarau Rivers, in water that’s less than 5cm deep in some places. Later we cruise across spectacular Lake Wakatipu to isolated Mt Nicholas High Country Farm on Spirit of Queenstown.

Day 11

| Glacier Region

From Queenstown, you can easily reach the West Coast and its famous glaciers. The most accessible landmarks in South Island glacier country are Fox Glacier and Franz Josef Glacier, which flow almost to sea level. You can drive from Queenstown to Fox Glacier in half a day. You might, however, like to stop in Wanaka on the way. The shortest route is over the Crown Range Road, a challenging road that demands full attention, but with great views. Alternatively you can take the easier way along SH6 following the Shotover River and Lake Dunstan. In Wanaka you can enjoy the cafes and restaurants or get out into the outdoors – skiing and snowboarding, boating and fishing, hiking and climbing. From here, you’ll drive between Lake Hawea and Lake Wanaka, through dramatic Mt Aspiring National Park and emerge onto the West Coast at Haast, where you can fuel up. Just north of Haast lies Lake Moeraki, a plentiful fishing spot and a short walk from a penguin colony. At Lake Paringa there’s a salmon farm. Continue along SH6 until you reach Fox Glacier.

Day 12

| Christchurch

After breakfast we head to Greymouth to board the Tranz Alpine Train. Praised as some of the most incredible scenic train journeys in the world, TranzAlpine trains takes you through a series of majestic landscape of mountains, lakes, valleys and staircase like viaducts as you sit back and relax in world class carriages. Along this journey you’ll see epic vistas, travel the edges of the ice-fed Waimakariri River, traverse the Southern Alps, and see miles of native beech forest. The TranzAlpine is one of the world's great train journeys covering 223 kilometres (139 miles) one-way, taking just under 5 hours. About Explore Tour

New Zealand is a country in the southwestern Pacific Ocean consisting of 2 main islands, both marked by volcanoes and glaciation. Capital Wellington, on the North Island, is home to Te Papa Tongarewa, the expansive national museum. Wellington’s dramatic Mt. Victoria, along with the South Island’s Fiordland and Southern Lakes, stood in for mythical Middle Earth in Peter Jackson’s "Lord of the Rings" films.
