Day 1

Arrival at Athens Airport, Transfers to Hotel, Check in & Evening Rest for leisure. Greece is famous for being the birthplace of democracy, the creation of the Olympic Games, and for its unique and historical architecture. Some examples include the Acropolis in Athens, the Sanctuary of Delphi, and the ancient Theatre of Epidaurus. Athens is also the southernmost capital on the European mainland and the warmest major city in Europe. The heritage of the classical era is still evident in the city, represented by ancient monuments and works of art, the most famous of all being the Parthenon, considered a key landmark of early Western civilization. Day 2

After Breakfast, Visit the ancient city of Athens in all, its splendor on this guided tour that includes a visit to the new Acropolis Museum. Admire the city’s major monuments and learn about its history and culture. Marvel at the views from the Acropolis. Start your city tour with a visit to Panathinaikos Stadium, where the first modern Olympic Games were held in 1896, pass by the Prime Minister’s residence and the former Royal Palace, which is still guarded by the colorfully garbed Evzone soldiers. See the historically important Zappion building, now a conference and exhibition hall, before arriving at the Temple of Olympian Zeus, completed in 131 A.D. The tour continues past the National Gardens to Hadrian’s Arch and on to the Parliament. You’ll also pass by the National Academy, the National Library, the Old Parliament, Constitution Square, and the Russian Orthodox Church. Marvel at the Acropolis, built in the 5th century B.C. Visit the Propylaea Gateway, the Temple of Athena Nike, the Parthenon, and the Erechtheum with its famous Porch of Maidens. Take a short, pleasant walk past the Herodion and Dionysos theaters to the new Acropolis Museum. The museum houses more than 4,000 artifacts from the Acropolis site, and its exhibits cover the Greek Bronze Age as well as the Roman and Byzantine periods. In the evening, Prepare yourself for a fantastic sea kayaking experience in Athens. The trip includes return transfers from/to any point in Athens. Day 3

| Olympus

After breakfast, we will transfer you to Olympus hotel, rest of the day at leisure. Olympus is notable in Greek mythology as the home of the Greek gods, on Mytikas peak. It is also noted for its exceptional biodiversity and rich flora. It has been a National Park, the first in Greece. Overnight in Olympus

Day 4

| Olympus

Today after breakfast we leave for a summit hike which starts at 08:00am towards Mount Olympus. If you are staying nearby us, we can provide transfer upon request. We will reach the maximum point of the route from the south side of Mount Olympus in charming other and simultaneously rugged landscape to 2,400m in position Christakis. There we will rest and prepare our personal and climbing equipment for the summit of Mytikas. We follow a well-marked trail for one hour to position Skala where we will get ready for our final ascent. The route is demanding and a high degree of difficulty since in most parts we must climb. Reaching the top in ”Pantheon” Mytikas at 2918m we will sign the mountaineer’s book and will rest for our return. We return by the same path in our vehicle and depart for our cars. Day 5

| Meteora

After Breakfast, we hike back to Prionia and after a 4 km drive, we make a stop at the famous St. Dionysus monastery. Built in the 14th century and devastated many times, it has been recently restored and open to visitors. Just a few steps down a wooden stairway, there is the bank of Enipeas, where we can dip in the sparkling crystal clear water. After our lunch in Litochoro we begin in the afternoon our trip to Meteora. Prepare yourselves for the special feeling of the first moment the rock pinnacles will come into view… Light evening walk and dinner overlooking these majestic formations of mother nature. Day 6

| ARISTI

After breakfast we leave for breathtaking views from the top of the rocks and learn about the history and the geological significance of the Meteora. The rock formations of Meteora are an extraordinary phenomena. In order to appreciate the power of the natural forces that shaped this spectcular landscape is walking right into it. As promised, today we will have the privilege of experiencing Metora in a unique way. Our hike starts from St. Nicolas Monastery in Kastraki village, following the same old paths the monks used to use, amongst the tall rock-towers. We pass beneath the monastery of Pantocrator and then via a lush forest path to the Monastery of “Ypapanti” and the ruins of St.Dimitrios. Afterwards our trail turns uphill and after a short walk it takes us to the cliff top monasteries Varlaam and Great Meteoro so that we can visit one of them. We then walk downhill to Kastraki through the rocks by the ancient path used by the monks, passing next to the cave of St. George Mandila where every year climbers hang their scarves. After our delicious lunch at the tavern of a Greek who made quite a political career in the US, we take the road to Aristi (Zagori area) for a beautiful rafting experience in the crystal clear waters of river Voidomatis! Day 7

| ARISTI

Today after breakfast, we leave Vikos Gorge, this phenomenal natures wonder consists of limestone and dolomite formations dating back to 150 million years ago and vertical walls extending up to a height of 1700 meters. Carved over millions of years by the Voidomatis River- a tributary of the Aoos, is part of the 12,600 hectare Vikos-Aoos National Park and has been listed in the Guinness book of records as the deepest canyon worldwide in proportion to its width. The trail is ascending and descending, surrounded by steep mountain tops and dense forests, which consist mostly of deciduous trees, with about 1700 plant species and subspecies. The so-called Vikos herbal practitioners used the gorge’s herbs to heal all sorts of aliments and were famous throughout Greece for that Overnight in Aristi
