Day 2

| Split

After Breakfast, discover the charm of Zagreb as you explore the city on a guided walking tour. Learn about the history of the city from an expert local guide, who will show you the hidden gems of the Croatian capital. Take a funicular ride to the old town.

Your local guide will take you from the main square, Ban Jelacic, to the cathedral, which is one of the most important landmarks in the city.

Hear about the origins of the Cathedral of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary, the difficulties it has sustained, and its renovation.

Your route takes you to vibrant Tkalciceva Street, better known as the bar street, where there’s always a steady stream of people. Hear about the philosophy of lounging and other everyday habits of the locals.

A short stroll away is the charming funicular. This is the oldest form of public transportation in the city and has brought joy to the citizens of Zagreb for over 125 years. Hop on and take a ride to Gradec, the upper town.

Gradec is one of the 2 medieval settlements that formed Zagreb. Take a walk along the charming Strossmayer promenade, the best spot for panoramic views of Zagreb rooftops.

See the Lotrscak Tower and Saint Mark’s Church. The church with its picturesque rooftop appear on the postcard that is most frequently sent from Zagreb. Explore the side streets, discover their charm, and perhaps even enter one of the old courtyards.

Descend to the oldest pharmacy in Zagreb, dating from the 14th century. Walk through the stone gate as you leave the upper town. The gate was a part of the defense system for the old city and is the only gate that has survived. Inside there is a small chapel housing the miraculous picture depicting Our Lady, the patron saint of Zagreb.

After your visit to the old town, your guide will tell you about witchcraft and the Brotherhood of the Croatian Dragon, and show you some hidden gems of the city.

Your tour ends back at the main square, where you’ll learn how Zagreb got its name before saying goodbye to your guide.

Later we leave for Split hotel via Plitvice National Park

Plitvice National Park is one of the most beautiful and best-preserved national parks in the country. This is why the entire lakes and surrounding area were declared a national park in 1949 and are listed on the UNESCO`s list of World Heritage Sites because of its exceptional beauty. It is a valley situated between high forested mountains in which lie, one below another, a string of sixteen beautiful lakes of crystal blue and green waters. Fed by small streams and brooks, they spill into each other in 92 foaming cascades and thundering waterfalls.

Later evening moving towards the hotel, check In & relax.

The Blue Cave’s ethereal silvery blue color is created by the sun as it bathes the cave’s interior through an opening in the roof and is reflected back by the sandy surface below.

Continue on the cruise to Stiniva Bay. Seeing it from the sea side, Stiniva is closed in by 2 high rocky cliffs which, at their closest point, are just 4 meters from each other. Between the cliffs you’ll see a pebble beach appear as you sail through the gateway, opening up the site like a Roman amphitheater paved in stone.

Continue to the Green Cave, where you'll have a chance to enjoy a swim, before heading to the little island of Budikovac, another ideal spot for a swim and a chance to relax. You’ll find a wonderful pebble beach, a small bay, protected from the open sea, and a beautiful lagoon for swimming on the southeastern side of the island of Vis.
